The following table is an overview of which buildings constructed in the state of Oklahoma require that the design and construction documents be prepared by a licensed architect, and which buildings are exempt from this requirement.

Notes: 

1.  Refer to 2003 International Building Code for definititions and Use and Occupancy Classification.

2.  A ÒbuildingÓ means a structure consisting of a foundation, walls, all floors and roof, with or without other parts.  A basement is not to be  

counted as a story for the purpose of counting stories of a building for height regulations.  (See Sec. 502.1 for definition of Basement.)
